Soundpro_2018_01Back at Ealing Town Hall for the fourth year, SoundPro’18 is the essential annual techie event for all sound professionals: location recordists, production sound technicians, sound mixers & supervisors, designers, assistants, recording engineers, maintenance, installers, and anyone with an interest in broadcast, online, film, live events, post and games sound.

SoundPro’18 will run from 11am to 5pm on Saturday October 6th 2018.

More and more brands are signing up to show off their wares at the event: Sennheiser, Raycom, DPA, Bubblebee, Quested, Rycote, URSA Straps, Audio Developments, Synthax, CEDAR, PMC, Sony… with more in the pipeline. “And, like last year, there’s going to be a Fisher boom pole swinging dramatically around the room!” says the organiser, Dave Robinson.

Hosted by the publisher of Resolution magazine and the IPS (Institute of Professional Sound) and sponsored by Terry Tew Audio & Visual Hire, SoundPro’18 is an informal exhibition with manufacturers, distributors, dealers and service providers.

As in 2017, there will be informative and entertaining sessions hosted during the afternoon. Already confirmed for this year:

  • Jez Riley French – acclaimed location recordist and composer talks about his work and methods
  • Can We Fix It? Yes We Can! – tips and tricks for surviving when location recording
  • Tweet/Twit of the Day – The best sound-based quiz ever… with prizes!

SoundPro remains free to registered visitors. Audio technology students are encouraged!

“Never has there been a better opportunity to learn about location recording, positioning, capture, mixing, and more. All our exhibitors – leading names in the field – are keen to share their knowledge. And if you need to stick something on a pole and waggle it about, SoundPro’18 is the place to find out how, and where.”
