Sound Particles offers 3D Audio eBook, Seminars and Discount

Sound Particle Space Controller app and plug-in screens Software company Soundparticles has released a free eBook entitled All You Need To Know About 3D Audio, designed to give readers a core understanding of Stereo & Surround (the foundations for 3D audio); Channel-Based Audio (e.g. 7.1.2, 12.0, 22.2); Object-Based Audio (e.g. Dolby Atmos); Ambisonics (and High Order Ambisonics) and Binaural (3D sound over headphones). The 40-page eBook publication is available in English, Chinese and Japanese from the Soundparticles website.

The new guide will be backed up by two seminars, also titled, All You Need To Know About 3D Audio. The first of these, covering Channels and Objects, will happen on April 13th, while a second on Ambisonics and Binaural will take place on April 21st. The pair of streaming presentations will also delve into core 3D Audio concepts, the technology behind them, “and why all media industries (Cinema, TV, VR, AR, Videogames, Music, Installations) are moving to immersive sound.”
