Back at Ealing Town Hall for the fourth year, SoundPro’18 is the essential annual techie event for all sound professionals: location recordists, production sound technicians, sound mixers & supervisors, designers, assistants, recording engineers, maintenance, installers, and anyone with an interest in broadcast, online, film, live events, post and games sound. Freelancers, staff and contractors. Everyone!
SoundPro’18 will run from 11am to 5pm on Saturday October 6th 2018.
Hosted by the publisher of Resolution magazine and the IPS (Institute of Professional Sound), SoundPro’18 is an informal exhibition with manufacturers, distributors, dealers and service providers.
“And, like last year, there’s going to be a bloody big boom pole!” says the organiser, Dave Robinson.
SoundPro is capitalising on the success of last year’s creative/interactive afternoon workshops by upgrading from THREE sessions to FOUR!
Planned for this year…
>> Can We Fix It? Yes We Can (with an AA battery)!- tips and tricks for surviving when location recording
>> Jez Riley French – acclaimed location recordist and composer talks about his work and methods
>> Twit of the Day – The best sound-based quiz you’re (n)ever heard… with Foley!
SoundPro remains free to registered visitors. Audio technology students are encouraged!
“Never has there been a better opportunity to learn about location recording, positioning, capture, mixing, and more. All our exhibitors are keen to share their knowledge. If you need to stick something on a pole and waggle it about, SoundPro is the place to find out how, and where.”
