Posted on: Tuesday 27th of March 2018
Following its successful release on Native and UAD platforms, Sonnox have made their Oxford Dynamic EQ available for Pro Tools HDX (with a 25% discount until 16th April, at £262.50 ).
Anyone using Avid’s VENUE S6L, S3L-X or HDX hardware can now enjoy the performance benefits of the DSP-optimised Oxford Dynamic EQ. The new AAX HDX product is presented as two plug-ins: a 5 band version that operates exactly like the original Native Dynamic EQ, plus a scaled-down 3 band version for those times when you need more instances per DSP chip.
Three stereo 3-band versions of the plug-in, or seven mono versions, may be run on a single HDX DSP chip at 44.1 or 48kHz. At 44.1kHz, the DSP version has a latency of 59 samples (versus 50 for the native version).
This AAX DSP plug-in offers the same dynamic EQ with powerful features as the Native version, Read our review from Resolution V16.6
