ADAM Audio introduces SP-5 headphones

Teaming up with German headphone manufacturer Ultrasone, ADAM have launched a closed-back design employing Ultrasone’s patented S-LOGIC technology.

According to ADAM, this technology improves spatial imaging and also has the effect of requiring lower SPLs at the eardrums (as much as 40% less, or 3-4dB) for the same perceived level. During the product’s design, the ADAM SP-5’s components were carefully selected, iteratively re-voiced and tuned, and changes were made to its diaphragm and housing based on direction from ADAM Audio’s engineers.

We’ve already received our pair at Resolution, in the picture AIR studios mastering engineer Cicely Balston is giving the SP-5s a critical listening for a forthcoming review. They come with a carrying case, 1.2m straight cable and 3m curly cable, available now at £499.
